‘Winter, Fire and Snow’ is written by Irish songwriter Brendan Graham and arranged for SATB by Roger Emerson. The words are based on the poem “Fire and Snow and Carnevale” by Macdara Woods. This arrangement is dedicated to Ms. Fiona McPhilips and the Castlecomer Community School Choir, Co. Kilkenny, Ireland who I have the pleasure of accompanying. On a visit by Brendan Graham and Eimer Quinn to hear the choir, I was fortunate enough to perform this piece as a solo with Eimear Quinn, Eurovision winner 1996. There is an optional cello part which adds a beautiful dept to the piece.
“Winter, Fire and Snow” was first recorded by Anuna in 1994 and has since been recorded by artists including Katie McMahon, Eimer Quinn and Benita Hill.
